Robot mascot design for a Customer Support Chatbot 🤖
I recently had the opportunity to design a robot character that serves as the chatbot avatar on the client’s website. The goal was to create a friendly and trustworthy digital assistant that supports the user experience, strengthens brand identity, and makes customer communication feel more approachable.
Since the character was designed to be implemented both on the client’s website and mobile platforms, it had to be lightweight and performance-friendly. For that reason, the final animations were prepared as Lottie files, ensuring smooth playback, scalability, and easy integration across different devices and screen sizes.
Character Development
Exploring shapes, proportions, and personality was the first step in bringing the character to life. This phase was all about testing ideas. Some concepts were quickly discarded, while others evolved further. The goal was to create a robot that would reflect the client’s brand identity and feel friendly to instantly connect with users.
Color palette
Based on the client’s brand color palette, one of the key steps was testing multiple color variations of the character. Since the robot was designed to act as a chatbot avatar on the client’s website, its color scheme played an important role in both readability and usability. The challenge was finding a solution that would work across a wide range of backgrounds, from light and dark to highly saturated colors.
